We were in Scotland for William's birthday, I did consider taking the ingredients and a cake tin to make a birthday cake however there wasn't space in the car so we decided it was easier to buy one on the day. We rarely buy cakes from a supermarket as we can make much nicer ones so it was quite difficult choosing one, we finally settled on a Thorntons cake which was really nice.
