Here are the pictures from a bike ride a few weeks ago. It started off as a normal bike ride around the local lanes, however we then did a slight detour down a bridle path which added a bit of excitement to the ride. As well as negotiating branches, nettles and uneven paths we also found a ford.

My Ultimate Summer Driving Playlist
When I saw the latest competition for bloggers from MoneySupermarket to create their Ultimate Summer Driving Playlist I couldn't wait to get started. Now the boys are older they no longer listen to children's songs, much to Mark's relief, so I have a very varied mix of music in the car. I like most types of music but rock, 70's music and country music have to be my favourites.
Here is my list - what do you think?
Meatloaf - Bat out of Hell
This is a fantastic piece of music and great for singing along to in the car.
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
My Mum is a big Queen fan and we used to sing along to this when we were children
The Wigan Church of Pie - The Lancashire Hotpots
We recently went to watch The Lancashire Hotpots and this was the opening song, it is a track from their latest album and is just so catchy you can't help signing along to it.
Annie's Song - John Denver
This is such a beautiful song and I love singing along to it.
What She's Doing Now - Garth Brooks
We bought a Garth Brooks CD when we visited Canada in 2000. We did a lot of driving and the CD was played over and over again. Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of driving across Canada.
Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams
This always gets everyone singing and reminds me of summer camps with Venture Scouts.
Never Tear Us Apart - INXS
INXS were huge in the 80's and were one of my favourite bands.
Cracklin' Rosie - Neil Diamond
We spent a few days in the Lake District many years ago and listened to a Neil Diamond tape all the time. I love all his songs but this is my favourite.
The Tide is High - Blondie
Debbie Harry has a fantastic voice and this song is easy to sing along to.
I Don't Feel Like Dancing - Scissor Sisters
This was William's favourite song when he was younger and he was always singing it. It has a great beat and we all sing along whenever we hear it.
